Red dress? Reminds me of that Helen Reddy song that has the lyric “leave me alone.”

People do the same thing with hotel websites too. I know because my job is hotel front desk. I with they would make reservations on the website. Would take some of the pressure off of us.

I also like to touch the material – I wouldn’t wear some of the flimsy junk they make today!

I never buy clothes online. I have the need to touch them, feel the material, try them on so I can ask that inane question, “does this make my butt look fat?”. Books, electronics, computer components, things for the home or garden . . . those I purchase online with great relish. The less time I have to spend in stores battling the hordes the better.

Half the clothes in our closet, both his and mine, were bought online……..on eBay! And none (well maybe a couple) were disappointments because I only buy brands and styles I’ve seen and bought in person. It’s the greatest system. I just bought himself three brand new pairs of jeans that aren’t even made anymore. But, oh, darn, now my secret is out…

Poor chick (she is a chicken, right?), she will regret shopping for clothes on line. But we all have to learn sometime and there’s no time like the present.

@WytZox1“Giving your credit card info over the 800 number is safer than putting it online.”Amen. And folks, don’t forget; while doing so, use a land-line, not a wireless phone to do it with. Some of those sorts still in use can be heard on anyone within scanner-range. ‘sides, I like talking to ’people’ and they sometimes help with the knowledge about inventory, sales and ‘deals’.. and of course, if I need a new computer, how else would I contact them??

Amazon has great prices and free returns on most clothes and shoes sold by them.

In t his computer age, it won’t be long before toll-free numbers will be a thing of the past…since each call costs the one with the line.

Yes, they do… and sadly, there are far too many that don’t REALLY know how to use their computer. :-(I’ve had more than a few customers that said they saw something online and wanted to order it by phone for this reason or that.
