when it’s the hug that bugs you

Ok, so there goes Satchel’s wallet or something?

Looks familiar to me, too. But hey, Bucky hugged Satch—historic moment!

Even Bucky can’t resist an “aw, poor sweet Satchel” moment.And yeah, they always have both publication (today) and copyright dates in the white bars between panels.

Pacopuddy, yup. His heart grew .0000000000000021% that day….

There was one time that Rob woke up and Bucky was nuzzling his chest! When Rob ask him if he was nuzzling, Bucky ran away shouting No, I wasn’t!

It isn’t a repeat, but it is similar to the one where Satchel complains that his pet bug never does anything and Rob informs him that his “pet bug is actually a dry roasted peanut.”

After which Satchel promptly eats the peanut.

The first and 3rd frames both make me want to be a sweeter person.

It’s a “Yup,” moment. Also…The comments? yup, also. Different breed of yup, tho.

I think Bucky’s trying to resuscitate Satchel.

I know I’ve seen this one before, but it’s still a heart-stopping moment. Bless you, Bucky, for puttin’ some lovin’ on our boy.

I love Satchel’s surprised look in the last panel. I bet he never expected a cuddle from Bucky… or even the heimlick .

I’m going with the thinking that Bucky really cares and that sweet Satchel even gets to him once in a while!

This is a rare moment indeed. Worth running it past us again.

There was a joke years ago about Satchel’s pet bug being dead and it turning out to be a peanut but I don’t recognize this one.

Naw, if you swallow the bug you’ll just get more protein.

Oh god, Bucky lasted a strip without saying something stupid or offensive….plus he gave a hug..i believe that is one of the signs that the world will end this year

If its a bug – Satchel is a dog….. eat it. After an appropriate waiting period for mourning, of course.

I don’t know why, but this strip made me laugh harder than all the others. Bless your heart, Satchel, bless your heart.

But Bucky also sent the grape nut/bug flying — is that going to have consequences?

Kathe, maybe the heimlick, if say, Satchel had somehow swallowed Smacky, Bucky’s pet toy…..(Satchel eats things to find out if they’re food or not… He once ate a raisin that tasted like a piece of tar for some reason..)…Anyway, Bucky would want to get Smacky back….

meh, i remember reading this entire arc before

I’m sure there’s an ulterior motive… But, for now, I’ll just enjoy the sweetness.
