you guys aren’t missing much. it’s just a bunch of names that Capp feels a need to thank. a few are familiar (Bill Mauldin, Milton Berle,Hedda Hopper) , but most are not
shodda got a MAC , Still it is a pretty bad scan of this panel..he’s thanking all the guys in the vets hospitals and all the WAC’s that drove him out to see them….to all the readers of Lil Abner..More interesting is the fact that Abner’s mother wears combat boots – and in this case it is no insult. At least I think it’s the military clip near the top and not Santa boots.

Personally, I’m just glad that GoComics is able to run Li"l Abner. Now if they could only get the rights to POGO, all woulf be well.
