I know that wild fire feeling, Doc. One year when I was living in Edmonton, there was a raging fire to the north of Edmonton. The air was thick with smoke even on the south side of town. Not a fun feeling.
I hope your parents house will be safe. But at least your parents are safe.
Good morning all. Doctor Toon I wondered about you with the fire burning since you live in CO. My daughter and finance went to Denver, CO for vacation time and was not close to the fire, they had a great time. Citizen Grog! hello.Busy morning here. Hubby wants me to go with him, he has a two hour medical test with cardiologist check up. For me I plan on bring something to read.Finished first week of summer class received a low A for assignments, I asked why yesterday as I am trying to be carefull on typing. I’m taking Basic Document Formating. Class ends end of July.
Doc and Patrice………our prayers are with you and your families during this awful fire time!!!! I’m glad your folks had a chance to evacuate, and with their camper it makes things just a tad easier.
Thanks for the menu, Josh…….I’ll enjoy some bacon and toast, followed up with some ice cream! Wow…..we can all be kids with this virtual eating thing.!!!!
When living in the LA Basin in Southern Cal, I saw more than one pretty spectacular fire on the San Gabriel Mountains. One burned up the slope right toward the Mount Wilson Observatory and was stopped short of that, but it took all the pines growing on that face with it. I remember the before and after views from the top of Mt. Wilson and know how close the call was.And then there was the fire in the Oakland Hills when I lived in San Francisco… by bad luck the smoke blew westward right over us…I used to live in Tucson and never saw any fires on the mountains there but after I left there was a pretty horrific one that took out Winterhaven Village and much of the forest surrounding it. Ouch. And then there were the huge wildfires in Texas a summer or two ago – a state park I enjoyed visiting was one of the many places all but totally destroyed by it. Several of my friends had to flee from those fires. So I have all the sympathy in the world for you who are facing fires in your own back yards!
Good afternoon all. Hubby’s found out part 1 stress test is over part 2 is coming a die test for the heart. Hope not another stent. After die test is over he has to stay laid down for four hours. I think take my lap top this time. Who said getting older is fun don’t know what their talking about. Hubby has no chest pains.

DocT, hope the fire will behave itself. ‘Tis the season, I fear. Down in Cheyenne, we’ve got a fire or two in the area too.
