It wasn’t that great. It was a book I had to read for a school book report. Some of my first teachers never assigned anything of any interest to me at the time.
Here’s a weird bit of trivia: There are two books with almost exactly the same title; Cuckoo’s Egg by C. J. Cherryh, and The Cuckoo’s Egg by Clifford Stoll… and I absolutely loved both of them!

Later on, one of my teachers assigned The Martian Chronicles That was something I could get into.

It started with John Steinbeck, moved to Isaac Asimov and never stopped after that!

My first one was Robin Hood. Absolutely loved every minute of reading it!
