Gene’s people?!?!? i thought they were Gene’s people. anyways Gene and Mary Lou aren’t married yet so they aren’t quite family. i also think Mary Lou is still worried about making a good impression on Janis and it would seem with good reason. did Janis expect to have driven all that way to be put to work in the kitchen? with a family member you could do that, not so much with guests.
