The Beatles were inspired by American rockabilly, country, and rhythm ‘n’ blues. The Rolling Stones used to call themselves an RnB band, not a rock band. Of course they sang like their heroes.Note that Green Day, from California, sings like the Sex Pistols, who were THEIR heroes.
A friend of mine (German from Germany) says she has a whole LP of Beatles singing in German; it’s a live recording (a bootleg? eine Raubkopie?) from their Hamburg days. Unfortunately, she’s not really sure where it is at the moment, and even if she found it and loaned it to me I have nothing to play it on. I wonder, though; if the Beatles sang their early songs with American accents, when they sang “Sie Liebt Dich” and “Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand” did they sound like Englishmen singing German, or like Americans singing German?

Some, maybe, not all. depends on the actual year.
