Gladys: I can't find my keys to the car - I need you to bring your set for me to use. Brutus: But I'm not finished with the report the chief wants on his desk first thing Monday morning... Brutus: Why can't you wait? Where do you have to go? Gladys: Nowhere. Brutus: Then what's the rush? Gladys: All the car windows and the sunroof are open...and it's starting to pour.down rain!

Then it’s probably too late already, and certainly would be by the time Brutus gets home.

They are implying that she is dumb, but if the windows and sunroof are electric, then the keys are absolutely required in order to close them.

she would have a point…IF her car had electric windows like mine! ONLY work with key in IGNITION setting…not even accessory! Except for the rain already happening…

The old line is better that you locked them in the car – if you really lost them, with a lot of cars, even if you got in, you couldn’t raise the windows
