Are they going to be friends now? I thought Marigold was going to restore her hair. Or maybe she likes her new look — cool for the summer.

Oh no, not friends!!!!!!! Does this mean that there’s a common idiot to deal with…maybe a BOY?

At least she’s trying to set things right.

What is this little twit’s problem, Phoebe is trying to apologize & show empathy for her & all she does is dis the lesson she took away from the incident?

“That lesson certainly ought to be inapplicable elsewhere in life.”“I like maxims that don’t encourage behavior modification.”

That’s fine, white hair rocks, hoping mine mine tan white, and I think Marigold has forgotten. For all her power she has a bad memory. :P

I like the fact that Dakota seems to have a brain. (As opposed to Millie’s arch-enemy, Felicia.) :-)

I had the feeling since the inception of “Heavenly Nostrils” that Dakota was intended to be Phoebe’s antagonist and/or foil. Granted, that deduction was based on an extremely limited input (several implied references by Phoebe and one note-passing incident) prior to this arc. And, during this arc, Dakota’s supercilious, haughty behavior when talking with Phoebe reinforced that opinion. However . . .

I find myself admiring Dakota. There seems much more depth to her than the original, shallow, stuck-up princess that I’d started envisioning as her. I’m not sure where things will ultimately evolve, but I do have to admit Dakota deserves kudos for her aplomb.

Is there a blooming friendship on the horizon? Also, who’s Millie?

Going to add something else: Dakota’s expression and body language seems to undergo noticeable changes between panels 1, 2, and 4. She starts off looking guarded and skeptical, as if bracing for mockery and taunts. By the end she seems a lot more relaxed, and even her observed “That’s a stupid moral,” seems more like the interplay between acquaintances or friends rather than rivals or antagonists.

I don’t see that. Dakota seems to be behaving normally, it’s Phoebe that’s stuck with the poor little 99%er schtick.
