I think there is an important point being overlooked. As long as she is being paid to do the job, what difference does it make if she’s putting files away or picking up shirts?
I was “third-in-command” in a two-person company once . . . and I was the wife to one of them! Fortunately, neither my husband nor his business partner ever ordered me to pick up their lunch . . . or their dry-cleaning! But as the Office Manager/Secretary, I still had to do the filing (amongst other things!) that were a part of my job working there.
