Exactly. I don’t do Facebook as is and I get by socially just fine. I don’t want all these “friends” who aren’t really my friends, would rather have real friends I could talk to face to face than a dozen Facebook friends.

I love that car commercial where the young woman claims her parents are becoming anti-social because they’ve only got like 19 Facebook friends compared to her 2,000 Facebook friends. Meanwhile while she sits in the kitchen looking at Facebook her folks are out cycling with a dozen REAL friends. Whose the real anti-social one?

What is this Facespace of which you speak?.Isn’t it easier and more heart felt just to tell someone you like them?

only because of people who seem to find it necessary to put every aspect of their lives on facebook. if you don’t put any value on your privacy, why should anyone else?

I joined facebook to contact an old friend, stayed cause the kids are on it, now have about ten messages a day to delete cause someone who’s a friend of my kids posted photos of their trip to Lower Slobowbia. Still, worth it to sometimes real time chat with the youngest since I don’t tweet.
