He looks like I feel when I go grocery shopping. I do a once a month trip for the big stuff and then as needed for essentials, like milk and bread. I find that I save money and stick to a menu that way. Less impulse buying. :)
If by bulk you mean, those Sam’s Clubs type stores, I don’t. If you mean, stocking up on things when they are on a good sale and/or I have some good coupons for said products, I stock up on laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, Folger’s Coffee and pork tenderloins. The detergent, paper products and coffee have sky rocketed in price while the packaging sizes get smaller and smaller.
I tend to go to BJs Club to buy certain things in bulk – eggs, milk (always cheaper than anywhere else), cold cuts and cheese, all kinds of meat, salad, paper plates, and juice. These will last me a couple of weeks (I have 2 teens in the house). I’ll buy paper towels or toilet tissue only if I have a coupon – otherwise, I just buy them at the supermarket along with everything else that I only buy as I need.
Ladies have you checked out the spice isle. It’s great for spices that don’t go bad. A very large bottle of sea salt was the same price as a small one in the grocery store. The cost of the large bottle of vanilla was worth the trip alone.
I didn’t even view this as shopping at a warehouse store. The first thing that came to my mind was getting a box of kitty litter, which is heavy! Plus dry dog food, etc. My husband shops for bulk paper products and wet dog food at Sam’s Club.

It’s like Costco (big portions), but it ain’t CostCo (they don’t use boxes when loading the customers’ groceries).

Do you not just hate it, when you get everything but that one little package in the box and there is just no more room for it.
