The cure Lucy gave is fine. Much better than filling kids with chemicals everytime they show an emotion. Anybody seen the documentary ‘Marketing of madness’?
The best cure/prevention for depression that I have found is having good, caring and understanding friends.
Reminds me of an old New Yorker cartoon — a woman with her spoon in a quart of Ben & Jerry’s, snapping at her husband: “I am not eating! I’m self-medicating.”

And since Lucie’s never been to medical school, all her cures were learned elsewhere. I’d hate to know where.

Unfortunately, all my jelly bread sandwiches always had peanut butter in them.

To cure my depression, I eat a large bowl of chocolate ice cream.

Can you actually set up something like that these days without getting in trouble?

It’s been proven cinnamon is a great depression healer. Charlie Brown should go home and make himself cinnamon toast.
