    Interesting how pets learn the language of their companions. My friend, Cuddles cockatoo was very responsive to people and wanted to be center of attention. I tried to prepare her for our trip to Puerto Rico, but she did not realize when folks were talking about her (not knowing pajaro or other words in Spanish discribing her). One thing was the same in any language-applause!

    In an “oddity” the other day, found a scared, and snarling, Chihuahua, was calmed right down by Vietnamese. Have no idea where this stray came from, but it worked!
