Larry's Father: I don't understand, Lawrence... Your mother and I come for a one-week visit and this is how we find you? With your backside shoved into a beer mug? Is this how you spend every night. Larry the Croc: No. Sometimes me shove face in chicken bucket. Larry's Father: Perhaps we'll leave before dinner. Larry the Croc: Stay. We got chicken. Larry's parent's come for a visit.

Yep, definitely adopted…left on the doorstep by a hunch-backed gnome…

Ha, I knew it: his real name is Lawrence! Still, what an imbecilic son Lawrence’s parents have.

Lawrence must just be back from a Buckethead concert; an exceptional guitarist (Buckethead, not Larry).

Pa Croc, you may be right to bail out before dinner! Your son is a example of everything that can go wrong genetically. And all that chicken he speaks of has been on the floor and/or in contact with his butt! Run, Ma and Pa Croc, while you can (extra added bonus: take Patty and Junior with you)!

Hope the chicken wasn’t in the beer mug

Ok, two things here. First, gotta figure Larry’s folks are leaving right away. And second, in that third panel it seems Larry isn’t speaking crocese like the male crocs tend to (well the members of Eeta Eeta Zeeba and Larry do anyway). Yeah he should say “Stay. WE’VE go chicken” instead of “Stay. WE got chicken.” But I’ve heard people in the real world drop the contraction and sound normal. Which is to say they don’t sound like they have a serious accent as if English isn’t their native language. I read the second panel and I’m hearing crocese in my mind, but the third panel Larry sounds like the rest of his family.

Must be where Larry’s son gets his smarts.

There’s just no pleasing parents like that, so why bother trying ? I’ll always stick up for Larry.

This is how George and Barbara must feel when they visit Dubya on the Ranch.

While they might fresh kill their prey, they like to put it in a hole somewhere so that it can age a few days(or weeks). I think that cooked chicken would fit the bill.

Really? I wasn’t that impressed by the Three Stooges “butt in the beer mug” routine.

Hey Dad, give Larry a hit off that pipe.

The crocs are so much more fun to read than the rat.
