One of my kitties’ purr box must be stuck on EXTRA LOUD….it wakes me up at night. Oops, my mistake, that’s just my husband snoring….sorry, kitty.

he forgot to add the spitter. My cats will purr loud enough to be heard across a room, but there’s usually one who spits while he does it

I guess the volume must be preset at the factory.

Kittys purring was one of the top 10 favorite sounds in a recent British survey.

If a cat can be loud can you imagine what a Lion or,

    a Tiger sounds like?

Actually, I think the consensus is that big cats can purr, but only on the exhale. The old division of purring vs. roaring cats is not quite true.

I was at a wildlife park and heard a mountain lion purring. It was too cool — sounded like a diesel idling.

I grew up around a cat that all you had to do to get him to purr was look at him! My Mom had to bottle feed him as his mother ran out of milk. Consequently, he got very loving around people, especially when you looked at him!
