The thing about dogs, you can feed them anything and they’ll happily eat it. But what they want, what they really, really want, is whatever it is that you’ve got. We used to give our first dog Penny, something of whatever we were having but one day we forgot. Penny dog sulked all evenng long.

Nero does that with my coffee. Have you ever seen a large Neapolitan Mastiff slurp a cup of coffee? Marmalade has nothing on him.

Should have poured two cups.

Absolutely correct.The way around this problem is to provide Marm with his own cup.He should well know by now that Marm likes a cup of Maxwell House in the morning, too.Whatsamatta you, Phil?

Get your nose out of the paper and get Marm his coffee NOW, or be ready to surrender yours.

But Marm needs to drink decaf. The thought of him even more perkier is scary. (In real life, caffeine is a very bad thing for dogs and can harm them)

I’ve had two springer spaniels who waited for sips from my decaf cappucino, but my current springer doesn’t care for it — caf or decaf.

This might give Starbucks another new flavor idea-Dog Saliva Coffee.
