I kinda think Agnes doesn’t mind the Principal’s office so much. He HAS to listen to her and not kick her along. And in spite of his occassional moaning, I think he sort of enjoysthe break in routine. He recognizes Agnes as an eccentric rather than a troublemaker.
I think Agnes enjoys her visits to the principal. He is a captive audience. He has no choice but to listen. Think of the things they learn about each other. Bet Agnes allows him to skip some of the more nasty parent meetings.
