Meanwhile, Fluffkins is head first in the trash with a banana peel in his face…

Every so often, Satch reminds Bucky who’s boss.

I have heard that stroking the tips of a dog’s ears relieves stress for them…maybe that’s what Satch is doing in panel 5? The storm-grey background is effective!!!

Remember back in August, when Satchel freaked Bucky out? You just knew Bucky was thinking, Oh, you’ll pay for this .

Poor Satchel! His dreadful anxiety in panel 5 is so touching. I LOVE the bucket o’ Bucky! Satch really put a kink in that cat’s tail!

I like the last 2 panels. In the second to last panel you can see that something in Satchel just snaps.

I live in Schuylkill Haven, and cannot shake that Twilight Zone feeling from reading this.

Why did he pick our town? People can neither spell nor pronounce it. This has been a real trip for me… LOL

Well, what did Satchel expect by calling Bucky “Fluffkins,” a hug? Wrong cat for that!

It’s pronounced school-kill, although natives pronounce it more like skyl. Nice little Pa town with a lot of interesting history involving the French and Indian War and the Schuylkill Canal, which connected Reading and Philadelphia with the coal region before railroads came along. The origin is either Dutch or native American, depending on which version you believe, but either way, the town is a “haven” or place of safe rest, on the Schuylkill River, which flows down to Philly. But yes, does anyone know the back story on how he picked it for this strip?

This is great, but I imagine it doesn’t make much sense if you aren’t from the southeastern PA area.

I’m right there with yer Huckleberry the odd and random choice of Sch. Haven. My family still resides in the Borough. It’s not Dutch by the way. The area is PA Deutch, which is German.
