Speaking of commercials: I remember the one with Robert Conrad daring someone to knock a battery off his shoulder.Probably available on âyouboobâ right now.
dheine1971: Robert Conrad is still around â heâs 83 now..summerdog: âChip on his shoulderâ is one of those phrases that never did make much sense, and no one is sure exactly how it came about, but itâs been documented as far back as 1817. According to Yahoo! Answers, âThe term âChip on his shoulderâ was reported as originating with the 19th century U.S. practice of spoiling for a fight by carrying a chip of wood on oneâs shoulder, daring others to knock it off."
This is one that never made the collections. I have them all, so I know. Itâs in one of the complete collections, though, I imagine. I have all of those up to date, but I donât recall this one.
