Doug probably won’t even remember the old place.

We moved for the first time when I was 12. I still can’t believe that I actually dream that I live there…

Sophie’s still adjusting to the new house. She has horrible separation anxiety because we’re always around. At the old house she was fine if we pulled out in the car. Here, every time the door opens she thinks we’re splitting. Bit more time and she should be good.

Miss the house, Sophie? Why, it looks like it’s already faded away.

I’m unusual in today’s world. I still live in the house I grew up in. My parents bought it in August, I was born in November. At 53, I’ve never lived anywhere else.

@Jo Clear:the same happened with my cat. I adopted her, and it was a triple shock for her:travelling from another city, being sterilized and a new master to boot! She spent the first few days under beds etc. But now she’s the best pet I’ve ever had! (Together with my 2 red-eared sliders-pet turtles).

You know, it doesn’t matter where you live, it matters who you’re with! Give your pets enough reassaurance and love and they will know. We moved 2 dogs from NC to PA, and they knew they were with us and they were happy! They lived long and good lives, and to THIS DAY, I miss them terribly!
