A serious waste of Billions (Actually Trillions). They should put some emphasis on exploring our own planet and attempting to deal with (cure) the diseases here on earth. Start with seriously looking at the oceans, our life source!

Wayne, umm, how can I put this politely. You are very ignorant of the benefits to humanity (not just the USA) of space exploration. No, I won’t list them here, the major headings alone would exceed the text input limit. Suggest that you do some research. Suffice: the tools we use to make this world a better place are as a result of space exploration.
