Funny thing with old married couples…the one accustomed to doing certain chores, even if they complain about it, usually does not appreciate the other one taking over. Either the overeager volunteer will “do it wrong”, or it will feel like their useful role in the relationship is being cut into. (You say that doesn’t make sense? People’s feelings don’t have to make sense; they are what they are. Voice of experience, friends.)

I still hang all my wash outdoors; this month the rain interfered a little so I postponed washing my topsheets- I’ll do this week.
