I try never to use much makeup as a senior (and I mostly just need some on my eyes) – brows and lashes have always been sparce and pale.

You tell her Ruthie. An adult knows better than to say it but they’re thinking it! Sometimes you need a child’s honesty to say what we’re all thinking! If I was Rose I’d be so hard pressed not to burst into laughter.

Avis for all the world, reminds me of a lil’ ol’ lady that used to shop at a grocery I toiled at in my teens. Fully ‘made up,’ fiery red hair aglow, she’d totter around the place, poking and squeezing each and every item and then would finally cart everything home in a baby buggy with her little doggie ‘Ophelia’ in tow. That was 60+ years ago when Campbells soup was 9 cents a can. I suppose the mortician had his work cut out for him to make her look ‘natural..’
