Pet snacks in the “Den” over at Creators reminds me of a funny story. My mother kept a small dish of kitty snacks on a side table in our den/TV room and my X-husband (when we were newly married back in the early 1960s) liked to snack on anything he saw, so I was not surprised to find that he ate some of those (possibly most of a dish- he was not a very discerning eater). He was not pleased when I told him those were for her cats.

I learned cards as a kid, mostly Canasta, Rummy, Tripoli and some baby games, but seldom played poker. We DID play blackjack, too just for fun (none of the splitting or playing on other hands). I still have not mastered that latter.

Oh Ruthie’s been a card player since she could prop herself up on a chair. Family tradition.
