Many children, repeated subjected to trauma, easily fall out fo thinking mode into panic mode, drop out of school, cannot hold jobs. Thinking is not part of panic mode.
School should teach non-cognitive skills that defuse the learned panic response. It really is not funny.

Cute, innocent, & funny. My wife once had one of her 2nd graders escape out the boys’ room window and head off down the street.
