Transcript:
Miss Bliss: Humpty Dumpty used caution and care, instead of a wall he sat on a chair! Miss Bliss: See? Classmate: That was it? Classmate: Where's the drama? Where's the conflict? Beni: How's this? Humpty Dumpty started to crack 'cause Humpty Dumpty sat on a tack. Dill: That's good! Did you write that?

alice is uncharacteristically speechless, but the slump says it all – she’s comotose with boredom.

Humpty Dumpty looks likes Ike from South Park. Does he kill Kenny?

She didn’t mention Humpty Dumpty’s million dollar lawsuit against the owners of the wall!

Great strip – and ten thumbs down to the Seattle Times for dropping it.

A perfect example of how we can all learn from young children. Hopefully they’ll grow up to become children’s book authors themselves, so there can FINALLY be some good ones.

Love this! Put great picture in my mind of Humpty Dumpty on a tack.

Details … details … all the kids eyes are wide open … except Alice’s … nice piece of what goes into his portrayal of boredom … Thompson’s attention to detail is part of what makes his stuff great

I love this strip … sending love and prayers to Mr Thompson, and expressing gratitude that I will get to read “Cul de Sac Classics” here, as the Detroit Free Press also dropped the strip as of yesterday.

Wake up nerds. Richard Thompson is retiring for health reasons

The papers dropped it because the strip ended. Yeah, they could print reruns, but they usually go with current strips. Even if they are strips that have been running the same jokes for 50 years.

“Jack and Jill went up a hill to fetch a pail of water-They went with care, got safely there,”And came back like they oughta.

tpauln, I usually don’t like reruns, but I got in on “Cul de Sac” late, so I too am glad to be able to read the old ones. They are much better than the reruns of “Peanuts”. It’s a nice farewell to Thompson.

I know that whenever I see a Christmas sweater; elevated manhole cover; diaorama; teeny car; deviled eggs etc… I’ll think of thee. Hang in there Richard & visit us now & again;)
