Miss Bliss: To help your parents understand what we do in class, I've put these signs up. Alice: I am so glad I can't read. Class pet: Cling to that small, bright shred of ignorance while you can.
A Blisshaven Academy panorama! Love the signs, the kids (Nara, Dill, Beni, Kevin the Buckethead, Alice, and Marcus), Mr. Danders, and Miss Bliss herself! This is all SO RIGHT!

Maybe Miss Bliss is going to tell you what’s on those signs, Alice.

Poor Miss Bliss. The parents asking the dumb questions are also too lazy to read signs.

When I was Alice’s age (4), I was the only kid in preschool who could already read. The teacher was shocked when I asked for books with words.
