[slapstick humor alert] I recall a scene from an episode of “Beverly Hillbillies” (I’m dating myself here) where Jethro took one of the womenfolk, bellowed at her to take “this skillet” (it was actually a classic cast-iron pan) into the kitchen “and git crackin’!” Whereupon she promptly took the pan and cracked him in the head with it, leaving him with clichéd crossed eyes.
