Well, someone is not a “happy camper!!” Pickup another shovel and help!

As Miles felt the shearing pain of snow getting dumped down his coat, he wondered what he had done to anger the gods so badly. And like that, it was dark.

Kevin don’t seem to happy it snowed. But then again, who is when they have to go out and shovel it? Not one of my favorite ways to spend a cold winter’s day, i tell you…

I still love snow, but not as much as I did as a kid

I didn’t even mind shoveling, it was still “playing” with snow

Now I have to drive in it and shoveling hurts my back

The only thing I griped about was having to use a steel coal shovel. For Christmas I got a three-foot-wide snow shovel! That was a good year.

I’m glad I don’t have to do that, but it barely snows anyway

Oh the feeling of shoveling snow at 5:00 am so your dad can get to work, then slipping on the driveway.

We lived next door to maternal grandparents so not only did we have to shovel our walks, we had to shovel the walk between the houses and their walks too before we could even think about playing in the snow. Of course we had to shovel from edge to edge and sweep the loose stuff off. The benefit of a snow day was that we lived in a very small town and it was only a little over three blocks to the best sledding hills-one ended up on a river so if it had been a cold year we would sled clear out onto the river and since the town was small there weren’t a whole lot of people sledding.

When it snows, an enterprising young person could make some good money shoveling the driveways and walks of the elderly and infirm. Never once, in 15 years of homeownership, has a young person offered to shovel my driveway. Several of my equally elderly and infirm neighbors have helped though, and I helped them with theirs. Now, if they could figure out some way to hook a Switch Lite or iPhone to a snow shovel…
