I don’t know how much dogs enjoy the actual walking part, but they certainly enjoy the sniffing. I don’t have a dog, but ones I see walking their humans seem to want to smell something about every ten yards.
The moment they come back inside over the threshold, it’s like the walk never happened. At least that’s the way Sherwood spaniel behaved. He’d go right back out for another long walk, same route.
