Ernesto: Peter! Are you really going to drink out of that fountain? Petey: Um. Ernesto: Aren't you concerned that its proximity to the Art Room means the water is tainted with poster paints, white glue and papier-mâché runoff? Such things cause mutations. Ernesto: Of course, I drink only water bottled for me by the monks at Machu Picchu. See? There's my picture on the label! Petey: Oops- I just remembered I never drink water!

Don’t listen to him, Petey.
Petey still has the Crazy Hair Day style going.

What’s with the tainted water theme? The last strip was about yucky water too!

The monks of Macchu Picchu believe saliva contains the spirit of life….which is why they spit in your bottle, Ernesto.

That’s it, Petey! Protect your precious bodily fluids. Don’t compromise your Purity of Essence!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow, You’re only a day away…!

But aren’t mutations cool? I work in a radioactive lab. I am really hoping that spontaneously growing new body parts will offset the fact that I probably shouldn’t reproduce.

Petey’s already a mutant considering how OCD he is about his food and stuff in his room! (not to mention those wacky dioramas!) :)

I don’t drink water either…but probably for different reasons.

glow-in-the-darky324, if you work in a radioactive lab, there’s a good chance you couldn’t reproduce. Except, perhaps, by fission…
When I was a kid, we made our papier-mache with wheat flour. Good source of carbohydrates, and nowadays they probably use whole-grain goodness. White glue is made from boiling cow hides, so there’s probably some protein there. As for the poster paints, it depends… If they’re tempera paints, you’re talking eggs. More protein, but keep an eye on your cholesterol.
I mean, Dill ingests glue sticks nasally, and he’s not… OK, bad example.

Depending on the colors used, poster paints are probably a good source for trace minerals.

LOL, Fritzoid! Ernesto DOES have Eno-hair! You are on a roll today…your comment on Stone Soup gave me a good chuckle, too.
