For the record, I really like both “Calvin and Hobbes” AND “Cul de Sac.” They’re good in some of the same ways, and they’re good in some different ways, but they’re both good.

(However, I eat neither snails NOR oysters.)

You know Harold wasn’t in this class though - or else that book would have been called Harold and the green crayon — or whatever….

Rachel7, “Cul de Sac” started as a regular feature in the Washington Post in 2004. It began nationwide syndication as a daily strip in 2007.

There are currently two collections of the strip, Cul de Sac: This Exit and Cul de Sac: Children at Play, available, and a third - Cul de Sac: Shapes and Colors - is in the works. A “Treasury” volume is also going to be released in the summer of 2010.

As Richard Thompson (the cartoonist himelf) said yesterday, stick around for a while. Alice is a great character (so is her brother, Petey, and many others). The more you see of them, the more you’ll enjoy them.

Hey, Rachel7, I’m glad that you changed your mind. And just so you know, I have absolutely NOTHING against High School Musical. I just wanted to make a point. =]
