It’d be nice to see more intelligent comments than just ROFL and LOL and LMAO. Seriously, if you don’t have anything more intelligent to say, why say it? I like this comic as much as any of you, but this is starting to bug me just a little. I’d prefer seeing comments that take a little more thought than just “LOL” and “LMAO.” And this comic seems to attract that kind of comment more than most, for some reason.

Muz, 10 comments before yours, I see one ROFL and one LMAO, no LOL at all today. Besides, sometimes it’s good to let the author know he’s made a hilarious strip, which is after all the point of this one. If you want comments on social relevancy or something perhaps you should be reading Doonsbury?

in my opinion those lols and rofls are mainly a way to place a quick comment in order to be among the first in each day’s race to the top of the list. mostly they are an ego trip and that’s ok — whatever floats the boat. but seriously does anyone really roll on the floor laughing?
