Alice: Mom! Look what I picked for you! Mom: Oh! Is that a flower? Alice: I think so. Do you like it? Mom: Yes! Lets get it in some water and put it on the table! Alice: See? Mom is just crazy about big, flashy vegetation! Petey: It better not have any bugs on it, 'cause it sounds like she's going to fix it for dinner.
Bigger than the average wild artichoke, firedome. Maybe a wilted sunflower…. Could be a tasty side-dish, well seasoned, boiled, and slathered with olive oil.
