Petey: I kept explaining that I was a scathing commentary on our consumer culture. Petey: Instead of candy, they gave me political campaign literature. Dill: Ick. Alice: Meanwhile, they ignored the cute little girl in the bat costume.

As so often, Dill’s comment is just right. Alice probably got plenty of candy, but having not been the Center of Attention seems to have spoiled her appreciation of the occasion….
