Cul de Sac by Richard Thompson for June 22, 2015
Transcript:
Mom: Alice, this is silly! You can't be bored already! Alice: Grunt. Mom: Don't you know summer is a time of magical, carefree adventure? Chasing fireflies, swimming at the pool, eating ice cream, the long, lazy days sliding by in a seemingly endless procession! Now get out there and play! Alice: Grunt. Alice: But did she mention the words "heat" or humidity?" NO. Beni: Stop talking. You're making the air move.
Going to the pool means mom has to go to the pool too, which means mom has to get outside in that heat and humidity. Madeline’s staying inside.
