Agnes definitely can have a career in news reporting if she wants it. Pretty neat how all the kids are so interested in Petey’s playdate.mbrndt – Thanks again. It was fun seeing that screenshot – and just like Richard described it.

I’m so tickled that Richard loves “Gregory’s Girl” too. It’s a special favorite for my husband and me. I still remember the first time we saw it on HBO, maybe 1982. We were just thoroughly charmed! My husband still chuckles about the line – Do something your own age. Go vandalize a phonebox. And 30+ years later, I still say – I’m/it’s not “pearrr-fect.” And who can forget that- when you sneeze it comes out of your nose at 100 miles an hour! (And, what was the deal with that penguin!?!) My favorite scene was when they were lying in the grass talking about how fast the earth is spinning around through space, with the camera rotating the scene around. Now I’m thinking I really need to see this again! But aside from how wonderful this movie is, it is also memorable for us because of the infamous Pepperoni-Picking Incident. While watching this movie for the first time, we were having pizza for dinner. We left our plates in the living room and went into the kitchen to get the salads, and food for our 2 year old. We returned to find every pepperoni piece picked clean off of every slice, and our little daughter just giggling with glee! This was just the beginning of her pepperoni-purloining profession. My husband claims it was years before he ever got a piece of pizza that she hadn’t picked clean. So, this movie is very dear to us. Not only is it delightful, but it is also closely associated with a treasured family memory.
