If Ernesto is imaginary, who made the frog?

Well, I would use real frogs, but that way works too.

Once again, Richard posted a blog entry for just this strip.For those who don’t know, Mike Rhode took over the blog for Richard a few years ago. He has continued to post links to tributes there since Richard’s passing.

At last.! Proof that Ernesto is real!

He was always real. Him being imaginary was just the musings of Petey and his imagination.

My dad used to make jumping frogs out of dollar bills. He would leave them as part of the tip at restaurants. The wait staff always loved getting them. Many times they would bring over another bill and ask him to make another. He actually had 33 things he made out of dollar bills, including a ring, a bow tie and a magician’s top hat out of which a rabbit would pop up.

A surviving origami jumping frog that is seen by Mom might suggest Ernesto is not imaginary. Unless Petey is a lot farther “gone” than we realize . . . . .

Can I crank just a tiny bit? Am I the only one who’s tired of people taking out their personal idiosyncrasies in public, no matter how intrusive?? "Cuz I’m DEAD tired of it! Thank you; done.
