I recall a Christmas-themed “Pickles” strip where Earl decides to decorate the house with only a red light bulb in the porch light.

Sunday, I pointed to this same blog entry; but, that was later in the day, and some may not have seen the comment. As I said then, it’s about Richard’s Favorite Drawing (at least back then 10 years ago), not the strip per se. Some might have wondered what it was in the old strip banner, before the January change (the banner didn’t show the full drawing):

Pa Otterloop is not quite as bad as his son, but you can see where Petey gets his minimalist tendencies.
