One Father’s Day our pastor did a children’s sermon in which he gave each kid an ugly tie to give their father. “And he’ll wear it, because he loves you – just like God forgives our sins because he loves us.”

Yep, one boy’s “awful purple unicorn” is a girl’s "A PURPLE UNICORN!!! (hearts and rainbows.)

Cute or awful, the purple unicorn anti-Ernesto charm is about to become a play-toy for Alice. I figure it will last just about one day….

I get neckties from my wife, and as she has a good taste, I like them and can wear them all. Small presents from nice girls I held in high esteem, even if I didn’t like the object per se.
