My kind of parent. See how kind and supportive he is – gets down to his son’s level. Now, hear what he says. Still kind and supportive… His son will be fine. (I am a teacher, so appreciate this all the more.)

I was getting a C- in Algebra 2 & bonehead Biology in high school, so I forged my Dad’s signature on the report card. The teacher called my Dad & after he was through yelling at me, I was grounded until I got my grades back up. That meant no phone, no sports, no going out with my friends, no mall, and no car or computer unless it was school related.

It also meant spending every lunch and time after school with my ultra skinny, boring, valedictorian from her college, math teacher who would always seem to eat the same whole grain pb sandwich every single stinking day. It’s amazing how quickly my grades went back up, just 2 months before the end of the quarter.
