No Thanksgiving dinner this year at our house. Oh well. Doesn’t make sense to cook for two. Let that be a lesson to all people with small families. Husband and my families are all gone. Yes I’m thankful for things. But not thankful enough to spend all day in the kitchen for just the two of us.

We cook a big turkey dinner for folks like you, that dont have enough to cook for and for those who simple dont have the stuff to cook to make a regular Thanksgiving dinner. Its also non-denominational and no on preaches. They just say bless you and ask if you want more whipped cream on that pumpkin pie. Lots of us older women do the cooking and I havent tasted one bad thing in the last 3 years we have been doing this. Its such a blessing on both sides. The cooks and the eaters! (and yes, the cooks are also eaters of their cooking!)
I gather cedward must live on a coast. I’ve always lived inland (IL and AZ) so only brief trips to NH, MA had me actually liking seafood. I like my beef Prime grass fed aged and VERY rare and I ONLY roast the whole breast of a good organic turkey.
Two years ago we were talking about T-Day dinner and realized none of us were huge turkey fans. So we decided to do something different. Last T-Day we had calzones for dinner. The new son-in-law didn’t complain, but I think he was a bit disappointed. We’re back to turkey this year.
Having ham this year. Most men, at least mine, piss me off at the holidays! I do all the work! I’ve wised up though! The dishes sit, cuz this chick ain’t washing them! Finally, they get around to doing them! :-D
More work for whom? I’ve been ill, still am, so we’re having tv dinners for Thanksgiving. But don’t feel sorry for us, we’re eating out with family on Saturday.

Dark for both my wife and me. Last couple years we’ve just gotten thighs and set them in a pan of dressing to roast.

When I’m not ill we have steak, baked potatoes, slaw and of course rolls for Thanksgiving. Delicious.
