Tony…. Nope. And the evil money-hungry dentist tried to scare my parents into getting me some at 9, by saying otherwise I’d never want to smile in public when I grew up….
But we moved to an Air Force base…. no braces there. So I was self conscious about my teeth till adulthood… when another dentist pointed out they were just fine.
Braces?Yup, but only for about 2 months to keep the teeth in after the hockey puck knocked 3 loose at the gum line. They were fine for a few years but ultimately two had to have root canals and later all three came out.
I never had them, but I needed them. The money just wasn’t there. My sister got them later (she was five years younger than I) and eventually her teeth all went back to where they had been in the beginning.
I used to be until I noticed that real friends don’t care – and to the other ones it doesn’t matter either. To them everything one does is wrong anyway. Why should they matter to me then?

Did you have braces?
x_Tech over 8 years ago
@TonyYes. Yes I do. Since I don’t wear a belt they keep my pants from sagging.

I did have, once upon a time.
What I still have are the temporary fillings put in by an army dentist in1970.

Just one I had to wear on my back for about a year.
My nephew had them on his teeth when he was a kid. At the time I thought it was unnecessary but now I have to say he has a gorgeous smile.

I can chew. That’s good enough.

Such pressure when someone tells you not to say anything. No braces here.

Nope. But all three of my sons did. The cost doubled in price for each from 1995 to 2006.

@Tony
No, but I do (did) have six extra wisdom teeth. I say “did” because I had one pulled a couple years ago…

Are you self-conscious?
No, unless I have too much to drink, then I might be unconscious…

@Tony. Yes as an adult after I had my wisdom teeth out and my bite changed. Ended up with TMJ and braces even though my teeth were fairly straight.
