If Elliott had a sister, I just hope she wouldn’t end up like him: lazy and inconsiderate.

    No question, again, from Tony….

at least, as of 1:30 am on the US West Coast.

Kyle… I think that’s why Peggy is looking at him like that.

I’ve read that the “average” cost of a wedding in the US is about $30,000….but that’s skewed by including those big celebrity and society ones.

Since the weddings I get invited to are in parks and back yards, with pot-lucks…

    and Moms making the cakes…

somebody else must be spending an awful lot.

In the first panel, though…. is Peg asking Peter whether he wishes Elliot were a girl…….

or is she hinting for another baby?

I’d think one kid like theirs would be enough!

    So this time… I’ll ask….

Are you happy with what you’ve got?

When was the time when one only had to spend several hundred dollars for a wedding?

Most people who have more than one child usually have one like Elliot and one who is totally the opposite!!!

How much does a civil wedding cost nowadays? Going to a JoP is relatively cheap isn’t it?

We have three daughters, who ranged from delightful to dreadful when they were teens. Now, they are all neat kids who have given us sweet grandkids and a passel of marvelous great-grands.

We also helped raise Hubby’s nephew, and I think I’ll stick with girls.

A lot of “kids” pay their own way these days. My daughter and her husband paid for their wedding. It was at a nice venue and was well under $10,000 but that was mainly because they had it in the “off” season so saved a lot. It was the nicest wedding we’ve ever been to. My own wedding 36 years ago was only a few hundred because my Mom and Aunt made all the food. I borrowed a dress etc. If I had the money I would have done it up more but it all worked out nice.

We have two daughters, both happily married and provided us with four wonderful grandchildren.

Those weddings didn’t cost $30,000 each; but, they were pricy and worth every penny…
