Well, if I were a Horologist I’d clean their clock.

And charge them for parts they didn’t need.

Tony asked, about 4 hours ago

    Vindictive?

    No, Tony. Not at all.

I might even send you a barely used toothbrush for Christmas (if you promise to use it!), accompanied by a list of creative new uses. Some of them you’d have to perform yourself though.

    @Tony

    Vindictive?

Heck no. I’ll even send you a couple color palettes so you can color your old strips.

OK, a week or so ago, we had a re-run of the 2013 version…

wherein Stan confessed to cleaning the toilet with his heretofore nonexistent wife’s toothbrush.

    Tonight’s strip is ©2017, so presumably new…

and he’s seemingly either divorced, or on better meds.

Now it’s just about cleaning the oven with “someone’s” toothbrush…

but tell me…. whose toothbrush would you have at hand for the chore,

if not someone who lived in your house?

I can’t see him breaking into a co-worker’s house, or, say, an IRS agent’s, or whoever he might get angry with,

just to steal his toothbrush for some sort of household cleaning cum revenge.

    Vindictive?

No, Tony, just explaining the facts, and doing a bit of speculation.

You’ve made me no promises, broken no trust.

I have no revenge to seek.

BTW, yesterday’s strip was also ©2017.

So I’m sorry, also, Tony, for suggesting that it was a rerun.

It may have been just what we were asking for…. a brand new strip.

We just didn’t realise it, cos it was a rehash of an idea we’ve seen at least twice.

    My bad.

I use old toothbrushes when polishing shoes and boots for in between the cracks of the sole and hard to get at places when applying polish. Vindictive??? naw!!! But you can use it to brush your teeth if you want.
