The comics page is always the best part of the newspaper in my opinion.

The funny pages were my only incentive to learn to read.

I never did bother with the crossword.

No cheat; always wait a day for answers! I don’t have time to kvetch about answers I do not know!

I Cheat!

Well… Tony posted a question…

and it’s an actual one, not just a word….

But I can’t quite relate it to the strip.

Nonetheless…. for your answering pleasure….

it’s “Do you wish?”

I do, Tony!

I wish all the time.

Can’t tell you what cos they say you’re not supposed to tell a wish.

Some wishes you can work at making come true…. others are purely about luck, or magic.

But I think having wishes, like dreams, is important, to help keep us looking forward with anticipation.

Otherwise, you might just get apathetic about life.

And I am addicted to crossword puzzles!

I much prefer the English cryptic ones to straightforward American ones….

The former feature puns, anagrams, hidden words and other wordplay, instead of just definitions.

I’m so happy when I can find them online.

And when I’m not commenting on GoComics, and I don’t have any cryptic crosswords, I do mountains of Sudoku.

Keeps me off the street.

Yeah, yeah…. I do other stuff too.

Don’t worry.

I get a little fresh air.

Crosswords were ignored when I was young. Till I tried to work on one at work when my friend got me to try one!!! Now I just love to try to do them, they are a challenge. I am humbled at what I don’t know on them, but amazed how its all in the clues!!!

Do I wish? – Only upon a star.

Hubby and I get the paper on-line, so we print off two copies of each puzzle – the Baltimore Sun has two – and then work one at breakfast and the other at dinner. Supper we talk to each other!

There has to be a euphemism for it.

Crossword – the kind of word spoken when you can’t solve the crossword.
