This guy is prime candidate for the âStereotypical Doofus Homer Simpson Dad Awardâ! Donât you realize that your âHoneydooâ list has just ballooned??
I donât get it â they do have an operating dish-washer and still wash them in the sink?
I understand that for delicately painted dishes â but the chance of chipping anything is lower using the appropriate dishwasher cycle.
I donât mind loading the dishwasher or washing the dishes if none is available. My husband takes care of the garbage and does most of the heavy groceries (mobile phones are a blessing there!).

OK⊠I went to Twitter (itâs a bit closer than Facebook, you know) and fetched Tonyâs question.
Another real one⊠but âŠum⊠it seems as disconnected as yesterdayâs.
âYou know you do?â
Â
Anybody else getting a little worried about Tony?
I mean⊠Iâm sure itâs nothingâŠ.
But then⊠the first Tweet on his page says âPunk van Gogh Irises Skullâ.
OKaaaayâŠ
Â
Iâm not sure what or whether I know I doâŠ. (??) âŠ
but I know that fake ineptitude thing is lame.
Not just the TV sitcom âFather Knows Nothingâ angleâŠ
But a couple shouldnât resort to dishonesty and deception with each other, much less try to get away with doing the least work.
And who wants to be thought of as incapable of simple chores, anyway?
Â
Every chore doesnât have to be evenly splitâŠ.
Sometimes it works better if theyâre divided by preference.
I wouldnât mind doing dishes every day forever if someone else would mop the floor.
And if thereâs something both hate to doâŠ. or if one person simply hates it allâŠ
They need to stop dumping it onto each other.
Â
Sometimes you both need to stop and thinkâŠ. and grow up.
âTaking care of each otherâ includes sometimes doing things you dislike so the other one doesnât have to do them..
Itâs an attitude that can be mutually learnedâŠ.
even a contract that can be consciously entered.
And it grows. Iâve seen it.

I have never feigned incompetence. It comes naturally.
