It’s just my wife and myself; we stopped exchanging Christmas gifts several years ago, opting instead to get something for the house, or upgrade an existing, appliance, etc. We still enjoy the holidays as much as we ever did.
I haven’t done any Xmas shopping in years. Finally paid off the credit card about four years ago and canceled it. I’ve cut WAY back, and been living within my means since then. Pretty much a “have to” scenario, since I’m having to rely on disability payments after a major surgery a few years back.
