Very rarely I would come home from work and tell my wife, just give me 20 minutes, and I will be fine. She would allow me the time I needed, and after 20 minutes, the rest of the night was fine. I’m retired now, she is still working, and I can sense when she needs some time to chill. I respect her wishes just as she used to respect mine.
I had two sons, they were rambunctious, always getting into trouble. Years later I had a teenage step daughter as part of the the family. There was less trouble, but OMG the drama!!! If the hair wasn’t right it was a catastrophe. To this day I’m not sure which is worse.

Are you in the mood?
That’s what Pete should ask Peg more often – and vice versa. Especially while Elliot is taking his 20 minutes.

If I came to the dinner table in a mood like that….the chair and I would have been removed to the back porch……
